Monoform (Pty) Ltd ("we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through Upshift, how we use it, and your rights. We process personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa.
1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide when you register and use the service, including your name, email address, phone number, business details and payment information. We also collect the business data you enter, such as your customers, vehicles, invoices and quotes.
We automatically collect limited technical information — such as device, browser and usage data — to operate and secure the service.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to provide and maintain the service, process your subscription payments, communicate with you about your account, provide support, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
3. Payment information
Subscription payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. Your full card details are handled by that provider and are not stored on our servers. We retain only limited information needed to manage your subscription.
4. Your customers' data
When you use Upshift, you may store personal information about your own customers. For that data you are the responsible party and we act as an operator processing it on your behalf, solely to provide the service to you.
5. Sharing
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run Upshift (such as hosting, database, email delivery and payment processing), under agreements that require them to protect it, or where required by law.
6. Security
We use encryption and access controls to protect personal information. Your workshop's data is isolated from other accounts. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.
7. Retention
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to comply with our legal obligations. You may request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to records we are required to retain.
8. Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at rassie@monoform.co.za.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the service or by email.
